About

My obsession with architecture began with Egypt, and the great pyramids of the Giza plateau; those marvelous works of construction that inspire awe and wonder with their sheer scale of size, and storied past. I have not yet had the pleasure of visiting them myself. My experience with them is entirely based upon images I have seen and stories I have read. And this is true for the vast majority of people. One of the wonders of the world - and most people who have ever lived, have never seen Giza in person. What does that mean for the architecture we inhabit day to day, whose stories will only intersect with a small handful of people, comparatively? Are those stories less meaningful by nature of their pedigree, or size of the audiences they reach? I do not believe so. I have always had a fascination with the way people interact with architecture. The spaces that we inhabit can have profound effects on us, shaping many aspects of our lives. Architecture is not just a backdrop on the stage upon which we play. It actively participates in shaping our mood, and fuels the imagination. Well executed photography can convey the story and a small aspect of the essence of a space to those who will never be able to physically occupy it. This website is dedicated to that effort, and to the pursuit of capturing beautiful spaces.
